Catering Renee and Adam's Shuswap Wedding

Catering the Shuswap wedding of Renee Potvin and Adam Popien was an experience that we hold very dear to our hearts here at Nourishing Gourmet. We have worked with Renee on a professional level for years, and we know her company, Wild Sage Events, to be one of the best wedding planning and events companies in our area.

We knew that Renee had many catering companies to choose from and the fact that she chose us meant the world to us. In order to represent Renee, everything we produced had to be perfect, and crafted with as much love and attention to detail as Renee puts into her work.

On the beautiful August afternoon of the wedding, The view of Shuswap Lake was amazing from the Popien Residence and we were able to snap a picture of this beautiful cake made by David Beaudoin, the national expert on Canadian Cheeses.

After the ceremonial cake cutting, we had to carefully carry this cake to the kitchen where it was cut and portioned by Chef Sameena Sandhu.

Beautiful charcuterie boards were quickly crafted for every table, garnished with locally cured meats, homemade cranberry chutney and fresh fruits; as well as a special warm fry bread called gnocco frito, which was prepared onsite.

For dinner service Renee and Adam chose from our most beloved wedding buffet: The Ultimate Dinner. This traditional Roast Beef Dinner,with Roast Chicken and all of the sides, never disappoints. Renee and Adam added Blackened Snapper with Fruit Salsa, and some unique salads, such as Quinoa Black Bean, and our Hippie Salad with Beets and Sunflower Seeds. Young and old alike flocked to the plentiful buffet set up near their beautiful ivory tidewater tent.
