Nourishing Gourmet had the pleasure of catering Jackie Bekkering and Ryan Buchanan's wedding at the wonderful Shylynn Ranch in Salmon Arm. Inspired by the down to earth and food loving couple, our catering team wanted to excel and outdo ourselves for this event. Our deluxe BBQ meal did a great job living up to the beautiful couple and venue. A special thanks goes out to Shylynn Ranch and its owners. Your venue is excellent and the Nourishing Gourmet team felt extremely welcome and valued!
Jackie and Ryan's guests were treated to a succulent, buttery beef brisket deeply infused with two flavours: Cherry Apple Cardamom or Coffee & Hickory. This top choice beef was smoked and prepared rotisserie style on site for 14 hours in Nourishing Gourmet's “Pig Out!” Roaster. Our signature baby back ribs were also presented, saturated in our homemade Sweet and Smoky Barbeque Sauce. All told over 125 bs of wood were used to bring the brisket to the table. The Ribs and even our Roast Paprika Herb Chicken were spun in our propane powered Rotissirie.
Accompanying all the main courses was a selection of side dishes including our Baked Potatoe Bar and Homemade Sweet and Smoky Baked Beans with Pineapple. A trio of salads sourced from our local catering gardens made everyone's plate complete. Our Strawberry Spinach, House Caesar and Organic House Green salads were all available as well as our three homemade dressings. Appetizers for the evening were comprised of Pulled Pork Sliders, Perogies & Sausage and a fresh Vegetable Platter with Tahini Goddess dip.
